I’m currently a Technology Apprentice and two time graduate from Old Dominion university, with degrees in Computer Science and Media Communications -- utilizing my education from both to design, develop, and maintain quality applications for clients.

Responsibilities / Accomplishments

  • Provided requested front-end and back-end maintenance for the website utilizing ASP.NET MVC framework and Sitefinity content management system.
  • Developed front-end features and design changes with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX within the Sitefinity CMS.
  • Created various .cs and .cshtml files within the MVC architecture using C# and Razor syntax to develop new widgets and update existing ones, allowing client access to new CMS features
  • Implemented complete site redesign on over 200 pages of the website. The various designs were provided in the form of PSD files and I was in charge of building the front-end interface that would perfectly mirror the designs. I also provided back-end C# code that would handle complete functionality of the included components
  • Assisted with site migration to Amazon Web Services (AWS); deployed site and corresponding databases to run on AWS EC2 and RDS with open communication between them.
  • Redeveloped site pages to provide a better and more attractive user interface design.
  • Implemented Google Analytics events to provide client with more in-depth traffic statistics.
  • Implemented multiple API's to retrieve and display various information on the site

Responsibilities / Accomplishments

  • Manage various iOS and Android apps used by record stores.
  • Successfully implemented Swift code migration in order to allow the iOS apps to support newer devices.
  • Integrated tools to make the Apple Apps Store submission process simpler.

Responsibilities / Accomplishments

  • Convert front-end features that were built with React/JS to a PHP built Wordpress feature that's easily customizable by the client
  • Implement a feature that allows the client to choose which content should be displayed on the website based on the year they select. This allows the client to create yearly content at their own pace and release it whenever they see fit.
  • Develop various shortcode functions to be displayed on the site.
  • Build Wordpress theme to replicate original front-end built with React.
  • Migrate site to allow front-end and back-end to be hosted on same server.

Macy's Testing Site | 233 Analytics

Overview

233 Analytics maintained a web-based app for the Macy's stores. This app was used to help compile results from a variety of physical testing devices used by a many Macy's stores across the eastern shore. The users/managers of this app are able to select from a wide range of regions and districts to build a results table from.

Responsibilities / Accomplishments

  • Reduced total page loading times from about 5 minutes down to less than 5 seconds by reducing database deadlocks, converting to more optimal datatypes, and implementing an AJAX based workflow to reduce the amount of unneccessary loaded data.
  • Set up a feature that allows the client export a readable csv spreadsheet that includes all test results from a given region.

  • Developed various forms using PHP to save custom metadata to account for new user roles within the database.

Responsibilities / Accomplishments

  • Developed features to give users with elevated permissions the ability to view data and statistics in a simple and graphical way.
  • Built database tables and developed complex queries used to store data in a specific way that proved to be more useful for the administrators.
  • Co Developed features to give the owners the ability to create and manage users with several new administrative roles that had their own respective permissions throughout the site.
